I see a lot of other sew-ers adding their Zakka style creations to the giveaway. Since my day job dumped a few more hours on me than is possible in a given day, my giveaway needed to be something I had already made.

So I give you the Zakka Pincushion with a little airplane flair and because I couldn't imagine using it as a pincushion, I filled it with some fresh smelling lavender.
It is a dual-use Pincushion/Sachet.

This is adorable!! Love the details you've added. I've been sewing since I was 8 or 9 but only quilting since 2009. I have a degree in fine arts and sculpture because I love working with different materials, especially textiles!! Sewing and quilting combines 'art' with 'technique' so I LOVE it!!

I have a pin cushion obsession and I SO love this!!! I started sewing when I was in fourth or fifth grade..I don't do it a lot, but I do it on occasion! :-)

OMGosh!! This is way too sweet and adorable. I love the airplanes theme. And as a bunny owner, I have a profound appreciation for the backing fabric.
I am exhausted just from reading about your exhausting day job... I hope your days will soon be a bit more relaxing soon -- especially since summer should have at least a couple of happy, carefree hours!

Just a few months actually, before that I would try every once in a while but i never actually made anything

Your airplane cushion is so sweet! I learned to sew by hand as a little girl with direction from my Nana. But, I only ever made doll clothes. I learned to sew "for real" 13 years ago when my mom was going to give away her 1974 Singer and I thought I'd give it a try. Now I'm hooked.
